Dear Heretiks –
We’re excited to share that Heretik has been acquired by global legal and compliance technology company, Relativity. Moving forward, our end-to-end contract review solution will be known as Relativity Contracts. Relativity Contracts will be integrated into RelativityOne, and available as an add-on in mid-2023. The solution will be further enhanced as we integrate into RelativityOne, and backed by the security of Microsoft Azure. Above all, we are confident that joining forces with Relativity will enable us to share their resources and expertise and provide an even better user experience for our customers.
So how did we get here?
When we set out to build a transformational contract review solution back in 2016, we deliberately chose Relativity as our foundational platform. It had a reliable infrastructure, extensive document hosting capabilities, a rapidly growing cloud offering, and robust data privacy and security. It also just felt like home for those of us who had worked at Relativity (then known as kCura) at earlier points in our careers. Even with all those benefits in our corner, though, we knew that wasn’t the whole story. In truth, the real secret to Heretik’s success from the beginning was our team’s ability to engage with and learn from the ever-growing Relativity community.
Over the years, we have been honored to work closely with so many of you who have helped us shape and build our solution into what is has become today. On behalf of the entire Heretik team, we’d like to thank each and every one of you for joining us on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure in building a revolutionary contract review solution. We are so proud of what we have created and accomplished together.
We also owe an enormous amount of gratitude to the strategic partners, investors, and business advisors who have helped us along the way. In addition to Relativity, we’d like to thank to NSerio, Gravity Stack, Chicago Ventures, Corazon Capital, Service Provider Capital, 1871, the Sieja family, and our angel investors. The guidance and support we received from these groups was invaluable to us and we are forever grateful.
Lastly, none of this would have been possible if not for our boots on the ground: the Heretik team (past and present). As co-founders, it has been an extremely humbling experience for us to work alongside these creative, talented, and passionate individuals. We celebrate you today as we have finally achieved a goal that we’ve all been working toward since the beginning.
What’s next for us? Some members of our team will be taking time off to spend with loved ones. Others will be joining or returning to Relativity to help oversee the integration of Heretik with RelativityOne. We will keep you all updated throughout our next chapters—and we promise we will never forget this first one.
